A
visual artist who has exhibited his drawings and paintings
on four continents. Tony is possibly best known for his
work which focuses on the man-made elements of our environment.
His mastery of shading and texture within the interplay
of light and dark makes his work immediately identifiable.
With degrees in history and art history, he is often called
upon to lecture on the development of western art particularly
in the field of watercolour painting. Born in the U.K.,
he is a longtime resident of Canada. He studied at L'Ecole
des Beaux-Arts and at the Museum School (Montreal) with
Arthur Lismer. He holds degrees from Concordia and the University
of Toronto.
Exhibitions
Has been in numerous juried group and solo exhibitions since
his initial show in 1967. Significant group shows include
The Queen's Gallery (Windsor Castle, 1982), Museo National
de la Acuarela (Mexico, 2000) The Art Gallery of Ontario
(2006).
Collections
Represented in numerous public, corporate and private collections
including those of H.M. The Queen (Windsor Castle), The
Government of Ontario, The Royal Canadian Military Institute,
The Provincial Archives of Newfoundland and Labrador, The
Gardiner Museum, The Masterworks Foundation (Bermuda) and
H.R.H The Prince of Wales (Highgrove).

Activities
