Artist's statement
This was my first trip to the High Arctic. Though we saw numerous icebergs as we approached Greenland I was surprised and disappointed by the lack of ice and the warm temperatures in Nunavut.

While hiking in Uummannaq, Greenland I dove into a tarn for a refreshing dip, the day was so unexpectedly warm.

The Arctic continues inspiring me to create paintings of its rugged beauty.
